Massimiliano Viccardi - the Man

Massimiliano is a self taught Italian artist working in London, he grew up in Northern

Italy where he discovered his passion for art at an early age. Over the years, he slowly developed his own way of working with his chosen materials and created a unique body of work that stands on its own in the contemporary art world. Massimiliano takes his inspiration from the depth and complexity of human relationships. In particular, he offers us a glimpse into the wondrous world of the unconscious as it drives our daily actions. Each piece that he creates is unique, often taking a period of months to even years to complete. Massimiliano combines unusual materials with great attention to shape and color. There are a multitude of semi-precious stone, resin glass, pearls and metal that go into creating his pieces, he encases them in perspex as if to float them in space. Each piece has its own structure that gives it its own story and ultimately its own life.
